Business Management Daily Acquires Manager's Intelligence Report from Ragan Communications
Business Management Daily (BMD) has acquired the assets of the newsletter Manager's Intelligence Report (MIR) from fellow SIPA member, Chicago-based Ragan Communications. Terms of the deal were not announced.
The newsletter's subscribers will receive two biweekly newsletters—Managing People at Work and Manager's Legal Bulletin—in place of their current monthly service. Subscribers will also receive access to BMD's robust ManagingPeopleAtWork.com website.
"We are very excited about this deal," said Adam Goldstein, BMD Publisher. "By effectively quadrupling the amount of management content MIR subscribers were receiving, at the same price, we are confident that we will be able to retain a substantial percentage of our new readers, while maintaining the high editorial quality that has always been a hallmark of Ragan as well as BMD."
With this acquisition, BMD continues its successful pattern of acquiring legacy publications, and serving them both digitally and in print with top-quality content, including newsletters, webinars, e-zines, books, conferences, and their recently updated flagship website, www.BusinessManagementDaily.com.
The company continues to seek out acquisitions of all types.
"As we focus on corporate communications, in particular events and membership, the opportunity to work with Business Management Daily made perfect strategic sense for both companies," said Diane Schwartz, CEO of Ragan and a speaker at SIPA's upcoming Business Information & Media Summit (BIMS). "We are extremely pleased that our longtime customers in the management sector have found a wonderful new home."
