World-class speakers offering insights into cutting edge strategies, enhancing company valuations and the coming changes that artificial intelligence will have on the media and information industry will headline the 2017 Business Information & Media Summit, hosted by Connectiv, SIPA and InfoCommerce Group, Nov. 13-15 in Fort Lauderdale.

Debra Walton, Global Managing Director, Customer Proposition & Financial Risk at Thomson Reuters, kicks off the program with a keynote on “How Platform Economics Can Re-invent the Information Industry,” which offers a deep-dive into how the platform business model leverages business agility and speed to market, monetization of nascent assets, co-innovation and re-inventing the customer experience.

Kelly Parsons, CEO, OpsCat and Victoria Mellor, CEO and Co-Founder, Novatum Group, will co-present “Strategic Transformation: The Path to Dramatically Higher Valuation.” They will share how they transformed a traditional publishing business into a focused, enterprise membership organization with an eye toward a successful (and lucrative) sale at the end of their journey.

Babak Hodjat, CEO and co-founder of Sentient and one of the co-inventors of the technology behind Siri, will address “What AI Means for You” by showing how machine learning, deep learning, evolutionary algorithms are changing the world of business and specifically, what AI will mean in the short term for business media and information companies.

Connectiv, SIPA and InfoCommerce Group co-produce a powerful conference each November on how to thrive in today’s competitive business environment. BIMS takes a deep dive into the strategy and tactics to take businesses of all sizes to the next level. More than 40 workshops and master classes present best practices in audience engagement, revenue-generating marketing, data, digital advertising sales and marketing services, and top-level strategy. The annual Emerging Leaders Awards, recognizing the best young talent in B2B media and information, are also announced during the BIMS event.

The full program will be announced shortly. Register today and take advantage of the Early Bird rate. We look forward to seeing you in Fort Lauderdale in November.
