eHealthcare Leadership Awards Acquired by Plain-English Media
Plain-English Media, the parent company of eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, has acquired the eHealthcare Leadership Awards from Health Care Communications of Rye, N.Y. The annual competition gives healthcare organizations of all sizes the opportunity to shine the spotlight on their successful digital marketing and communications initiatives.
The move reunites the awards with the publisher of the eHealthcare Strategy & Trends website and newsletter. "It made sense to bring the two back together," said Matt Humphrey, founder and president of Plain-English Media. "Both the awards and the publication showcase leading healthcare organizations and how they are successfully leveraging digital channels to drive strategic goals. We're excited to continue the work of recognizing and sharing success stories from leading healthcare organizations."
What to Eat: 10 Best Foods Revealed in New Report by Nutrition Experts
Ten super foods have been named by a group of expert scientists and nutritionists as the top foods, with nutrients that deliver better health. To create this list, the staff at Nutrition Action, published by the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), examined and tested a wide variety of basic foods. These 10 foods are revealed in their new report What to Eat: 10 Best Foods.
Topping the list are sweet potatoes and mangoes—and... watermelon. "It's a heavyweight when it comes to specific nutrients like potassium and lycopene, for example."
"We want consumers to have the knowledge that empowers them to choose a healthier diet, to avoid diet-related diseases such as stroke, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, and heart disease," said Michael F. Jacobson, publisher and executive editor of Nutrition Action and founder of Center for Science in the Public Interest. "With specific food advice like this, you can protect yourself against those diseases—and sometimes even cure yourself of them."
Clarivate Analytics Releases Thomson IP Manager 4.5
Managing intellectual property assets can be complex. With much to do and seemingly so little time, anything that improves efficiency and maximizes productivity can be a huge benefit to IP operations.
With continued focus and investment in industry-leading products and services, Clarivate Analytics has announced its next release of Thomson IP Manager, featuring Microsoft Outlook integration; SAML 2.0-based single sign-on and USPTO PAIR. These features are available on both Enterprise and Cloud editions of Thomson IP Manager.
By integrating Microsoft Outlook, Thomson IP Manager 4.5 simplifies email document filing workflow processes, while also allowing entire emails, critical attachments or both, to be easily uploaded directly to a corresponding IP record. In addition, updating either a batch of records or an individual record provides an option for attaching the same document to multiple records at once, all of this more efficiently managing legal requirements related to document archives.
Bly's Irresistible Offers a Book for the Times
Bob Bly has probably published at least 80 books in his prestigious writing career. One caught my eye recently—How to Create Irresistible Offers: The Easiest Way on Earth to Make Your Marketing Generate More Leads, Orders, and Sales.
"My first few years I primarily wrote copy for audiences I knew well (engineers, technical managers) and so did not have to ask my clients much about their market," Bly told All Good Copy in an interview. "When I broadened into other areas, I realized that my clients often understood their target market much better than I did, and so I now spend about as much time understanding the market as I do the product."
Inspectioneering Revamps Website
Inspectioneering has rebuilt their site with a responsive interface for improved performance on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Pages are now more intuitive, and navigating between topics and content is easier. They lead with a very impressive instructional video.
Inspectioneering provides the petroleum and process industries with Asset Integrity Management (AIM) information by facilitating expert knowledge sharing. They believe that increased AIM intelligence can help improve organizational efficiency, increase equipment reliability, protect workers and the environment, and in the end, lead to a more successful business enterprise.
OPIS and Trayport Sign for New Oil Product Trading Screens
Traders and brokers who seek efficient and transparent ways to buy, sell and price physical oil products can now employ a suite of new trading and price discovery screens following the signing of an agreement between OPIS, part of business information provider IHS Markit, and London-based Trayport Ltd.
OPIS will leverage the high performance, executable trading screens that also provide instant price discovery using the OPIS450 methodology. OPIS450 assesses live-market bid, offered and traded value to create a price for each of the 450 minutes between 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. before averaging outright prices and differentials to provide new all-day and settlement-derived prices.
