Connectiv this week introduced a new report that allows members to benchmark themselves against their peers in the business information and media industry. The Business Information Survey looks at how companies identify themselves, how they are making money, and where they expect revenues to come from five years from now.
Some highlights:
- Average annual revenue for respondents is $43.8 million.
- 73% of respondents generate revenue from events and respondents are equally split (41%) on trade shows and conference being the biggest source of event revenue.
- As part of the overall revenue mix, print is expected to drop 10% to be 18% of total revenue by 2020 while events are expected to be climb from 22 percent to 24 percent, paid content and information services will be 23 percent, and digital resources will account for 21 percent of total revenues.
