General Meeting: These half-day events are held regularly in North America and Europe to update members on the status of FISD activities, provide an opportunity for member companies to report on new initiatives and discuss issues of importance to the industry. The program is followed by a networking reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Issue Brief: A two-hour program for issue-based discussion. Activities include educational presentations, interactive panel discussions and opportunities for members to share developments and viewpoints from their organization with the other interested parties. Local Meeting: Half-day program for the local financial information industry in major financial centers around the world. Program includes updates on FISD initiatives, interactive panel discussions, and briefings from members. FISD members from around the globe are encouraged to coordinate their business travel around these local programs. The program is followed by a networking reception. Technology Forum: This two-hour program encompasses not only the technology that underpins real time market data but also the wider enterprise data management and the technology and systems that are required. Both technologists and non-technologists are catered for within this program. Technology is at the very center of the data industry and this program reflects that importance. The program is followed by a networking reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Learning Series (Lunch & Learn and Learning & Libations): These one-hour, single-focus program are intended to offer members a classroom-like atmosphere followed by a one hour reception. To foster a comfortable environment for questions and a more intimate networking environment, these events are typically capped at between 50-70 delegates.
Women’s Group: FISD has created a series of events to support women in financial information. These are generally luncheon events held every six months in New York and London and on an ad-hoc basis in other cities. They feature both programming and networking activities.
Rising Stars Happy Hour: After-work events designed to bring together FISD members of all experience levels to promote learning, networking, and mentorship. Program content imparts lessons about career development useful for a diverse audience ranging from those just starting out in the market data industry to seasoned professionals. True to their name, these events conclude with a networking drinks reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Asia-Pacific Financial Information Conference (APFIC): Hosted annually, APFIC is a two-day regional conference hosted in conjunction with InfoPro Digital featuring program topics and discussion opportunities that address the issues impacting the local and global financial information sector. APFIC allows for ample networking opportunities in a variety of settings. The perfect atmosphere to refresh existing relationships and develop new contacts
World Financial Information Conference (WFIC): Hosted biennially, WFIC is the only global conference focused exclusively on the issues associated with the dissemination, management and use of financial information. Two and a half days of educational sessions, meals and off-site networking events allow attendees to interact in a neutral environment to develop better communication with the major players in
