Nearly 40 states have specific privacy and security requirements for educational technology providers. Navigating these laws can be a challenge for everyone involved, but some states have taken steps to streamline compliance. Using Connecticut as a case study, this session will include representatives from state government and local school districts. Doug Casey, the Executive Director of Connecticut’s Commission for Educational Technology will provide an overview of Connecticut’s student privacy law and how his organization supports the vendor and K – 12 communities.
